Are you looking for a cost-effective and lasting marketing idea?
You may have read the news that Greater Manchester is struggling with its rail network and congestion. In recent decades, the city has become a major tourist hub in its own right, a centre for financial services and home to tens of thousands of students.
To this end, a consultation has just begun involving Network Rail and luminaries like Andy Burnham to tackle the transport infrastructure. You can read more here.
It’s no wonder transport is creaking with almost 3 million people calling Greater Manchester home.
What’s also apparent is that the road network is presenting challenges
If you’ve not visited Manchester for 20 years or more, the new road networks will no doubt surprise – in a positive way too. The M60 is a 37 mile orbital route, developed over 40 years, that encompasses part of three existing motorways, the M62, M63 and M66.
It is a similar size to London’s M25 but has recorded higher traffic than there.
In 2004, a section of the northern M60 was the UK’s busiest stretch of road, with an average of 181,000 vehicles per day using the stretch between junctions 16 and 17 or near Clifton, to the north east of Manchester.
So why are we bombarding you with transport stats?
Simple.
Your vehicle, whether it’s a single van, a fleet of vans or a HGV needs to be seen on these busy roads. Not just seen as in Chapter 8 compliant chevrons but seen by pedestrians and other drivers.
You know when a van has pulled up at a neighbour’s and you’ve looked out wondering whether it’s a DPD delivery, we’re sure you’ve looked at the van and its branding. It’s clear your neighbour is having new carpets or fitted wardrobes and the next time you see the neighbour, you may, if you’re interested in that service, ask what the workmanship was like.
That’s our point. If a plain white van was parked there all day, you wouldn’t know what work was being carried out and by whom.
Your vehicle is a moving advertising unit
It tells people your name, what you do, telephone numbers, email addresses and website name. Think of those eyeballs that could land on it as your drive around Bolton, Wigan, Salford, Manchester, Ashton, Sale, Altrincham. Vehicle graphics sell your services. And sell them cost-effectively.
We’ve made it as easy as possible for you to carry out this process.
Firstly, you need to prepare your vehicle for graphics – a full guide is here.
